Introduction
Since the inception of the Agile manifesto in 2001, there has been a steady increase in Agile adoption. Agile is the methodology of choice for large enterprises and for government software development projects. In fact, the Department of Defense (DOD), requires that iterative development be used for their projects because of Agile’s many benefits. Moreover, other federal agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) are currently undergoing Agile transformation and require software development projects be conducted using its methodology. These transformations are occurring in both the public and private spaces to support the government and industries’ digital transformation strategies to improve service delivery.
Enterprise Agility is a goal that organizations are attempting to achieve to be able to adapt quickly to changing technology and economic conditions which are constant in today’s environment. The United States economic projections for IT is directly linked to global expectation, as the United States has the largest IT market.
